ATTRACTIONS

If on one day of your vacation you decide you want to take a break from some the more strenuous outdoor activities you've enjoyed thus far, there are plenty of options for other things to do.  You might stroll down Main Street in Waynesville, or browse the shops in Maggie Valley.  Perhaps, you'll want to ride the ski lift up to Ghost Town in the Sky, our mile high western theme park. Maybe you'll go to Lindsay Miniature Village to see the delights of street upon street of miniatures.   If you happen to be here in late June , you can take the rhododendron walk through Haywood County Community College's beautifully landscaped campus.

When evening falls, you have to look at your entertainment options with care. You have so many choices that a decision can be hard to reach. You can  enjoy clogging at the Stompin' Grounds, bluegrass music at the Opry House, dinner theater at Carolina Nights, concerts at Eagle's Nest,  or go dancing at one of the area's many nightspots.  You can even go try your luck at Harrah's Cherokee Casino. Possibly you'll go see a performance by the HART players on the grounds of the historical Shelton House.
